The Department of Applied Engineering and Technology Management (AETM) prepares students for professional careers in management, supervision, education, training, and applied engineering in a variety of technical disciplines. Students may choose from among several baccalaureate degree majors that offer a balance of classroom study and experience in modern laboratories responsive to change and the needs of industry and education. Graduates from AETM degree programs are employed in various industrial companies, educational agencies, and government branches.
The graduate programs in Technology Management offer flexibility in subject areas of emphasis and can be completed at a distance. The master's degree offers concentrations in automotive, manufacturing, mechanical, packaging, and quality. AETM participate in the Ph.D. program which utilizes the resources of a consortium of five universities to offer a variety of specializations. These member universities have programs staffed by faculty having expertise in many areas of technology. Additional department offerings include minors in automotive technology, automotive engineering technology, automotive technology management, computer-aided design & drafting, Lean Six Sigma, manufacturing engineering technology, and packaging engineering technology.
