Primes and Subcontractors can look at the construction specifications at no charge. Downloading the specifications is $5.00. The Planning Room allows Prime and Subcontractors to view who has downloaded the specifications to better enable Prime and Subcontractors partnering.

Project Details

Prime contractors are required to submit on each publics works bid a list of subcontractors indicating if they are a minority/woman/veteran owned business.
Calls for sealed proposals are due on a set date and time.
Opened at a public meeting
All bidders are eligible to attend.
Contracts are awarded to the lowest and best bidder that meets the University’s needs.

Advertised in the Terre Haute newspaper
Sent to an extensive list of prospective bidders maintained by Procurement
Bid invitations from at least three (3) persons
Sent to at least five (5) construction planning rooms
Notice always sent to the Indiana Minority Supplier Development Council (IMSDC) – with whom Procurement is partnered with for identifying minority/woman/veteran owned businesses. The public notice is then forwarded by the IMSDC to all their prospective bidders.

Advertised twice in both the Terre Haute and Indianapolis newspaper (State law only requires Educational Institutions to advertise if over $150,000)
