Freshman On-Campus Enrollment Checklist

  1. Activate your MyISU portal using these step-by-step instructions. Once in MyISU, go to ISU Apps and look for New Student Dashboard, which will provide clickable links to each step below.
  2. Apply for federal and state financial aid at studentaid.gov. Be sure to add Indiana State to your FAFSA. Learn more at IndianaState.edu/financialaid.
  3. Accept our offer of admission by submitting your $100 non-refundable enrollment deposit at IndianaState.edu/confirm.
  4. Register for State Orientation at IndianaState.edu/orientation. At State Orientation, you’ll register for classes and discover what to expect when you return for State Welcome.
  5. Complete your housing process by submitting your housing contract or required exemption form at IndianaState.edu/reslife.
  6. Submit required health and immunization documents before you attend State Orientation at IndianaState.edu/immunizations.
  7. Complete placement tests before attending State Orientation at IndianaState.edu/testing-services.
  8. As these become available, request items be sent to: admissions@indstate.edu
    1. Final official high school transcript (the transcript must include a graduation date)
    2. Final college transcript(s) (including any dual credit)
    3. Official AP score report from the College Board
  9. Attend State Orientation and State Welcome to get ready for life at Indiana State. Both are required.
  10. (Optional) Explore veterans’ benefits and eligibility at IndianaState.edu/veterans.

Conditions of Admission

You must maintain an acceptable record through the completion of your current studies. Your admission is subject to cancellation if your final transcript includes a significant decline in your academic achievement. You are required to notify the Indiana State University Office of Admissions if you have registered, enrolled, or attended any other institution not listed on your admission application.
