The ISU Recycle Center collects recyclable materials from the campus of Indiana State University and from Wabash Valley households and businesses and is then sorted to be sent to the following locations:
- OFFICE PAPER - Shipped to Midwest Fiber in Terre Haute, IN and sorted in a plant where different grades go to multiple users.
- SCRAP STEEL CANS - Non-baled scrap steel cans are being marketed to Mervis Industries in Terre Haute, IN.
- ALUMINUM CANS - Non-baled aluminum cans are being marketed to Mervis Industries in Terre Haute, IN.
- CORRUGATED CARDBOARD “OCC” - Marketed to Midwest Fiber in Normal, IL and shipped directly to International Paper in Henderson, KY.
- ELECTRONIC SCRAP - Shipped to Green Wave Computer Recycling in Indianapolis, IN.
- CHIPBOARD - Cereal box type material.
We are not currently accepting glass, TV's, Appliances, plastic or E-scrap with Lithium ion batteries of any kind.
All paper materials must be dry and free of mold and dirt.
The Recycling Center will be closed for the following days:
Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, ISU Homecoming, Thanksgiving (Thursay and Friday), and the University's Winter Recess. For the specific dates of these closings, see the university calendar.
