Launch into College Life at Indiana State

Bridge Week is Indiana State University’s signature welcome week for Project Success students. It’s designed to help you make friends, discover campus resources, and experience the vibrant student life that makes Indiana State a terrific place to earn your degree. From academic workshops to campus traditions, Bridge Week is your opportunity to build confidence and make lasting connections that support and enrich your college journey.

Why Bridge Week?

  • Connect with other new students who are just as excited (and maybe as nervous) as you.
  • Discover campus resources, and meet faculty and staff who are ALL IN to support you.
  • Prepare for college with skills, knowledge, and confidence for a strong start.
  • Experience campus life through activities, events, and traditions that make Indiana State feel like home.

NOTE: Bridge Week is optional for Project Success students, but required for ISUceed, LEAD, Ignite, and Pathway to Indiana State participants.

What to Expect

During Bridge Week, you will join a Pathway Group led by trained Peer Mentors. These small groups are where you’ll meet your first friends, have real conversations about the transition to college, and navigate Bridge Week together.

Activities include:

  • Academic Workshops: Sessions on study skills, time management, and technology tools.
  • Campus Life Experiences: Explore student organizations, recreation, wellness, and ways to get involved on campus.
  • Community Events: Social events, service projects, and activities that help you feel connected.
  • Traditions and Fun: From cultural events to campus tours, Bridge Week introduces you to the best of life at Indiana State.

Meals during Bridge Week are included and take place in the campus dining halls. Commuter students are also provided with meals as part of the program. This is your opportunity to eat together, socialize, and build connections.
