Mike Godard, PhD is the 13th President of Indiana State University. He has more than 25 years of transformative experience in higher education, bringing a deep commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student success to this 160-year-old regional public institution. Dr. Godard’s leadership advances a future-focused education that blends practical, high-quality academics, meaningful engagement, and strong career preparation in an opportunity-rich learning environment.

Indiana State University’s Board of Trustees consists of nine members appointed by the Governor of Indiana. Together, they provide thoughtful stewardship of the university’s direction, supporting its priorities and long‑term goals while working closely with the President and campus leadership. Through their guidance and collaboration, the Board helps ensure that Indiana State remains a forward‑looking, student‑centered institution dedicated to expanding opportunity and strengthening its impact.
