Why Earn a Sport Leadership Graduate Certificate from Indiana State University?

Strategic leadership skills enable you to guide and inspire teams, organizations, and athletes. The nine-credit, fully online Sport Leadership graduate certificate helps you build that skill set and allows you to apply your credits to the Master of Science in Sport Administration and Leadership.

Sport Administration and Leadership MS

This certificate’s three courses each look at sport leadership from a different angle. You'll study the psychology behind how athletes and teams perform, learn the skills that make leaders of sports organizations effective, and investigate the issues shaping today’s athletics business landscape from the stands to the front office to the locker room.

The Sport Leadership Graduate Certificate stands on its own as a nine-credit credential, and it also fulfills one of two required certificates inside the Sport Leadership and Administration MS. If you continue toward the full 30-credit degree, the courses you complete here will count toward your required credits.

Every course is online and asynchronous. Summer terms are available but not required. You can plan your coursework around your work and family obligations while still participating fully in the class.
