The Division of University Advancement recognizes the generosity of our donors through various giving societies and awards celebrating philanthropy to Indiana State.

Donors who give at certain levels will receive targeted stewardship and awards, and those who receive awards will be invited back to campus to celebrate their philanthropic giving with other Sycamores and friends of the institution. President’s Society – recognizes donors who make annual contributions of $1,000 or more during the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).

Dale McKee Society – recognizes donors who make philanthropic gifts consecutively at 5-, 10-, and 25-year milestones.

Cornerstone Society – recognizes donors who establish endowed funds benefiting University scholarships and programs.

1865 Society – recognizes donors who include Indiana State University in their estate plans.

Book & Torch Society – recognizes donors whose lifetime contributions to Indiana State reach $100,000 or more.

March On! Awards – the University’s highest award recognizing transformational philanthropy to Indiana State.

John P. Newton Spirit of Indiana State University Award – recognizes alumni for their deep commitment to their alma mater and the advancement of the University.

Student Philanthropy Award – recognizes a student organization on campus that demonstrates a spirit of philanthropy and portrays Sycamores Supporting Sycamores as coined by the Student Philanthropy Organization.
