Sycamore Grove Community Guidelines
Sycamore Grove exists to help Indiana State Online students connect, share experiences, and support one another. - Treat every member of Sycamore Grove with kindness and civility.
- Healthy debate is welcome, but personal attacks, ridicule, discrimination, or harassment are not acceptable.
- All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials or language are prohibited.
- Members who violate these guidelines may be removed from the community.
- Remember — tone can be hard to read online, so choose words that uplift and clarify.
- This is a public space. Share only what you’re comfortable with others seeing, and avoid posting personal information (such as grades, addresses, or identifying details) about yourself or others.
- Information posted in the community is visible to all members and is subject to libel and slander laws.
- Do not post anything you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you.
- Respect the privacy and dignity of your classmates, instructors, and the broader Sycamore community.
- Please avoid posting advertisements, unrelated promotions, or external petitions.
- Keep the community safe and spam-free.
- Harassment, hate speech, or unwanted direct messaging will result in removal from the community.
- Do not post or send chain letters, spam, or commercial content.
- Observe and Learn
- Spend some time exploring the community before posting. Each space has its own rhythm and culture. See what conversations look like and how people interact.
- Participate Actively
- Don’t hesitate to jump in! Ask questions, share helpful advice, and respond to others. Engagement builds belonging, and we’re glad you’re here.
- Contribute Value
