What We Do

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX supports the University by providing all members of the community with educational opportunities, programs, and trainings that ensure the University’s compliance with applicable federal, state, and University equal opportunity, nondiscrimination, harassment, and civil rights laws, regulations, and policies. Our staff works with faculty, staff, and students who believe they may have been subjected to prohibited harassment or discrimination in violation of the University's policies and provides assistance to University administrators working to resolve concerns in their areas.

TRAINING FOR TITLE IX PERSONNEL

Appropriate training for individuals involved in the processing of Sexual Misconduct in the Education Environment matters is required by federal law. Indiana State University University believes that those who work on matters of sexual harassment should be trained in alignment with best practices.

Pursuant to the Department of Education’s 2020 Title IX regulations, training available to Title IX Personnel must be available for inspection on this webpage.

Title IX Personnel include the Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Title IX Coordinators, investigators, adjudicators (including hearing decision-makers and appellate officers), and those who facilitate informal resolutions. Below you will find information about the training resources provided to these key personnel.
