The Applied Clinical and Educational Sciences department at Indiana State University focuses on training professionals in fields such as counseling, communication disorders, and school psychology through rigorous academic programs and practical experiences.

Welcome to the Department of Applied Clinical and Educational Sciences (ACES) website. Established in 2006, the Department of Applied Clinical and Educational Sciences values active engagement, excellent, critical thought, integrity, and social justice.

Nationally accredited programs train students in four human service disciplines:  Communication Disorders (M. S., B. S.), Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M. S.), School Counseling (M. Ed.), and School Psychology (Ed.S., Psy.D.). In addition, we also offer a Ph.D. program in Counselor Education.

Clinical placements occur in the department’s comprehensive Norma and William Grosjean Clinic in University Hall as well as in diverse internship placements. In addition, ACES adds to programs across the College and the University with our expertise in diversity, human development, statistics, and research methods.
