Why Earn a Psychoeducational Assessment Certificate at Indiana State?

Our Psychoeducational Assessment Graduate Certificate program provides in-depth training surrounding the administration and scoring of psychoeducational assessments (cognitive, achievement, social/emotional). The certificate does not result in licensure. However, it will prepare you to administer psychoeducational assessments under the direction of a school psychologist.

Gain Hands-on Experience and Feedback

The Psychoeducational Assessment Certificate is a 12-credit graduate program that can be completed in 16 months. In addition to your coursework, you will complete a fieldwork experience that provides hands-on experience and feedback concerning the utilization of assessments in the school environment. See Sequence of Classes.

This certificate program is offered in a hybrid format. This means that a portion of the coursework can be completed without on-campus attendance. However, all courses require synchronous participation, and weekly in-person attendance is expected during the first two semesters.

Important: Individuals enrolled in this program who wish to pursue professional licensure are encouraged to apply for admission to our School Psychology EdS or School Psychology PsyD degree program.

Learn from Our Excellent Faculty

As a student in our Psychoeducational Assessment program, you will benefit from faculty who are exceptional practitioners and applied researchers with diverse professional backgrounds and interests. Their commitment to excellence is evident throughout their teaching, service, and research activities. Their work often emphasizes collaboration with students and community engagement. Our support staff excels at promoting the mission of the department and working closely with students and faculty. Most importantly, our graduate students are bright, dedicated, and emergent practitioners and scholars in their own right. Their work greatly enriches our department, university, and surrounding communities.
