Our Director is Kathy Ocampo. Dr. Ocampo has a special interest in working with children and adolescents but is comfortable working with and supervising cases of all ages. She enjoys training and supervision. While working in community mental health, she participated on multiple community councils in Clay and Sullivan counties to advocate for the mental health needs of both children and adults.

Our Office Manager is Marty Branum. Ms Branum has been at the Psychology Clinic since 2016, and prior to this position she held several front office positions in different health care settings.

Two Graduate Assistants (GAs) are assigned to the Clinic each year to help manage Clinic functions.

Student Clinicians:

Psy.D. students use the Clinic for their training throughout the time they are at ISU. First year students observe the sessions of advanced students who are working in the Clinic. First year students additionally attend group supervision sessions. Second- and third-year students are staff clinicians for the Clinic. Each student has both therapy clients and assessment clients on their caseload. Fourth year students meet with student clinicians in the Clinic to provide peer supervision.

The Psy.D. program's clinical training exposes students to a variety of clinical orientations and techniques, and each student develops their own clinical style. In other words, there isn't one treatment approach used by all students. However, all clinicians in the Clinic use evidence-based practices as established by research and recommended by the American Psychological Association.
