What You'll Learn in the Sport Management Program
The BS in sport management gives you a strong foundation for a career in sports and related leadership areas. You can complete our sport management bachelor’s degree program in four years of full-time study.
You will complete a semester-long internship with a professional supervisor or faculty member to enhance your skills and familiarize you with the business environment. During this experience, you will work directly with clients and professional colleagues as you learn more about organizational design, marketing, and facilities management.
Transfer Credit
Indiana State University accepts credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities within the United States, and from selected schools located outside the United States. Credit also may be granted for military training and experience. Previously earned college credit can be applied toward completion of the program per Indiana State's transfer guidelines.

A bachelor’s degree in sport management from Indiana State prepares you for a career in private and public sports organizations. This includes professional sports teams, intercollegiate athletic programs, health and fitness clubs, wellness centers, Special Olympics, and other sports organizations. Our students are also prepared to pursue graduate studies, particularly in business administration and marketing.
