Summer 2026

Saturday, May 9	Transition to summer housing period. Residents continuing into summer housing remain in spring housing assignment until summer housing assignment is ready.
Monday, May 11	Summer housing students move to summer housing assignments.
Monday, May 18	First day of summer classes.
Monday, May 25	Memorial Day. No day or evening classes. University offices are closed.
Friday, June 19	Juneteenth. No day or evening classes. University offices are closed.
Friday, July 3	Independence Day observance. No day or evening classes. University offices are closed.
Friday, July 31	Summer classes end.
Saturday, August 1	Summer housing students transition to fall housing assignments (unless different date provided by Residential Life). Students not living on campus during Fall 2026 must be out by 12:00 PM.

Fall 2026

Saturday, August 1	Summer housing students transition to fall housing assignments (unless different date provided by Residential Life). Students with no housing contract for Fall 2026 must be out by 12:00 PM
Sunday, August 9	Halls open for students participating in Bridge Week (by registration only). Meal plans are available for use beginning at 2:00 PM. Housing and food daily usage refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Thursday, August 13	Halls open for those who live locally (by invitation only).
Friday, August 14 – Sunday, August 16 (By Appointment Only)	Opening for regular move in. Students should arrive according to their selected move-in appointment. Meal plans are available for use upon arrival. Incoming freshmen move-in is Friday and Saturday by appointment as specific programming is provided for them. Returning student move-in is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by appointment. Limited appointments for Friday and Saturday.
Saturday, August 15	All incoming freshman students should be moved in by 4:00 PM.
Monday, August 17	Residents not returning for fall must be moved out in order to receive a full housing and food refund for the fall semester (minus any daily usage/occupancy charges).
Tuesday, August 18	First day of fall classes. No-show date. (Failure to move in does not cancel student’s financial responsibility for housing and food charges.) Housing and food 75% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Friday, August 21	1st 8 Week Classes: Last Day to Add/Register & Drop/Withdraw with No Grade
Monday, August 24	16 Week Classes: Last Day to Add/Register & Drop/Withdraw with No Grade
Tuesday, August 25	Residents who are not enrolled in fall classes (zero credit hour class schedule) must be checked out within 48 hours.
Friday, August 28	Last day to lower fall semester meal plans.
Sunday, September 6	Housing and food 50% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Monday, September 7	Labor Day. No day or evening classes. University offices are closed.
Friday, October 2	Fall Break. No day or evening classes. All University offices remain open.
Sunday, October 4	Housing and food 25% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Sunday, November 1	Housing and food 0% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Saturday, November 21	Residence halls close for Thanksgiving Break at 12:00 PM. Break housing and apartments remain open. Last meal served will be 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM brunch in Sycamore Dining.
Thursday, November 26 - Friday, November 27	University offices closed for Thanksgiving Break.
Sunday, November 29	Residence halls open after Thanksgiving Break at 12:00 PM. Meal plans are available for use beginning at 2:00 PM.
Saturday, December 12	Residence halls close for Winter/Semester Break at 12:00 PM. Break housing and apartments remain open. Last meal served will be 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM brunch in Sycamore Dining.
Sunday, December 13	Residents participating in Commencement must be checked out by 12:00 PM.
Thursday, December 24 –Monday, January 4	Winter Recess. University offices closed.

Spring 2027

Monday, January 4	University offices re-open.
Monday, January 4 – Wednesday, January 6 (By Appointment Only)	Residents withdrawing from the University and/or academically dismissed students must set an appointment to check out during these designated days.
Thursday, January 7 (By Appointment Only)	Opening for incoming new freshman and new transfer students only. New residents will be sent information about selecting their move-in appointment time. Housing and food daily usage refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Saturday, January 9	Residence halls open for returning students at 12:00 PM. (No appointment needed.) Meal plans are available for use beginning at 2:00 PM.
Sunday, January 10	Residents not returning for spring must be moved out in order to receive a full housing and dining refund for the spring semester (minus any daily usage/occupancy charges).
Monday, January 11	First day of spring classes. No show date (failure to move in does not cancel student’s financial responsibility for housing and dining charges). Housing and food 75% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Thursday, January 14	1st 8 Week Classes: Last Day to Add/Register & Drop/Withdraw with No Grade

Monday, January 18	Martin Luther King Jr. Day: No classes, University offices closed.
Tuesday, January 19	16 Week Classes: Last Day to Add/Register Drop/Withdraw with No Grade
Friday, January 22	Last day to lower spring semester meal plans.
Sunday, February 7	Housing and food 50% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Saturday, March 6	Residence halls close for Spring Break at 12:00 PM. Break housing and apartments remain open. Last meal served will be 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM brunch in Sycamore Dining.
Monday, March 8	Housing and food 25% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Sunday, March 14	Residence halls open after Spring Break at 12:00 PM. Meal plans available for use starting at 2:00 PM.
Sunday, April 4	Housing and food 0% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Saturday, May 8	All residence halls and apartments close for the semester at 12:00 PM. Meal plan usage ends at 12:00 PM; last meal served will be 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM brunch in Sycamore Dining. (Residents doing a late-stay for summer housing, see below.)
Sunday, May 9	Residents participating in Commencement must be checked out by 12:00 PM.

Summer 2027

Saturday, May 8

Transition to summer housing period.

Summer housing students move from spring housing assignments to summer housing assignments once summer housing assignment is ready.

Saturday, May 15

Summer housing students who did not live on campus for Spring 2027 are eligible to move in for summer housing.

Monday, May 31

Memorial Day. No day or evening classes. University offices are closed.
