Indiana State University Vice President for Student Experience and Engagement Dr. Nancy Rogers was recognized for a lifetime of service to the Wabash Valley when Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun proclaimed June 24, 2026, as “Dr. Nancy Rogers Day.”
The proclamation was presented during the Wabash RiverScape organization’s Riverpalooza event at the Hulman Center, a community celebration highlighting the partnerships, projects, and progress transforming Terre Haute’s riverfront.
Rogers was honored for her 18 years of service as RiverScape’s treasurer, where her financial stewardship, institutional knowledge, and unwavering commitment helped guide the organization’s growth and long-term success.
The mayor’s proclamation also recognized Rogers’ more than three decades of service to Indiana State University, where she currently serves as Vice President for Student Experience and Engagement. Throughout her career, she has championed student success while also dedicating countless hours to civic leadership across the Wabash Valley.
In addition to her leadership with RiverScape, Rogers has served with numerous community organizations, including United Way, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation, the Vigo County Homeless Coalition, the Terre Haute Rotary Club, the March of Dimes, and the Vigo County Historical Center. She currently continues her community service as a board member for the Vigo County Historical Center, Wabash Valley Goodwill, and Wabash Valley Crew.
The proclamation concluded by recognizing Rogers’ “wise counsel and selflessness of contribution to RiverScape and to the Wabash Valley community” and celebrating a lifetime of service that has made the region a better place for generations to come.
