The Charles E. Brown Cultural Center is responsible for developing and providing opportunities for all students to involve themselves in creating, innovating, designating, and promoting cultural programs relevant to them and to advancing campus and public understanding of why an appreciation of a wide range of cultures and experiences is important. It is further responsible for promoting positive identification, association, and establishing relationships with historically underrepresented student groups and contemporary culture. The Charles E. Brown Cultural Center creates a learning environment conducive for students, administrators, faculty members, and citizens of the Terre Haute community to understand, recognize, and appreciate the contributions made by people from different cultures, backgrounds, and identities.

Mission Statement

The Charles E. Brown Cultural Center is engaging in a collaborative process to revise its Mission Statement, a process that will involve students, faculty, and staff from Indiana State University, and members of the Terre Haute community.

The program helps students address issues that commonly impede student success, such as time management, engagement, and study skills. Through I-Succeed, students can develop strong academic study skills and leadership and professional skills that will help them throughout college and beyond. Students interested in I-Succeed should contact the staff at the CEB Cultural Center.
