The online business administration program is open to eligible students in the U.S. (including the District of Columbia and all U.S. territories). The program also is open to students in Canada (all provinces). The program is closed to students residing in countries other than the U.S. and Canada except for U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.

The program can be completed in four years (full-time) of online study, but online students also have the option of part-time study.

In our online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program, you will take a core of business courses and additional classes in accounting, finance, insurance and risk management, management, operations and supply chain management, and marketing. What You'll Learn in the Online Business Administration Program

The online BS in business administration includes 120 credits consisting of a core of business courses, including contemporary business, business statistics, accounting, legal environment in business, business finance, marketing principles, business forecasting and analytics, management and organizational behavior, and business information tools.

Students will also select courses in three emphasis areas selected from: accounting; finance; insurance and risk management; management; operations and supply chain management; and marketing. Online students also complete Indiana State’s Foundational Studies Program and other elective courses.

Online students may also earn a minor within the business administration degree by completing 6-21 additional credits (depending on the selected minor). Students should consult with their academic advisor to plan a program of study.

The online business administration program concludes with a senior business experience – a capstone course in the Scott College of Business. In this experience, students select a business theory to apply in demonstrating their skills in a specified area of business.

Transfer Credit

Indiana State University accepts credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities within the United States, and from selected schools located outside the United States. Credit also may be granted for military training and experience. Previously earned college credit can be applied toward completion of the program per Indiana State's transfer guidelines.

Graduates from the online Business Administration BS program pursue a variety of professional career paths in business. They typically begin in entry-level positions in such fields as accounting, banking, brokerage, corporate management, information technology, operations management, public administration, and small business entrepreneurship.
